Dr. Reena Sandhu

Dr. Reena Sandhu’s journey as a psychologist has shaped the evolution of Vault Therapy into a specialized practice that offers structured, evidence-based psychological assessments for individuals seeking clarity and transformation.

She began her career working with children and youth before transitioning to the acute mental health department at Vancouver General Hospital, where she worked with adults experiencing severe and complex mental health challenges. In this role, she specialized in psychological personality assessments, developing expertise in diagnosing psychological disorders and understanding core beliefs, cognitive patterns, and emotional dynamics. Through this work, she saw firsthand how comprehensive psychological assessments could provide critical insights and targeted treatment planning, yet she also recognized a major gap in their accessibility outside of an acute environment.

Motivated by the growing societal recognition of psychology after COVID-19, Dr. Sandhu embarked on an entrepreneurial journey to establish Vault Therapy, initially offering private therapy. However, in working closely with clients, she noticed a recurring pattern—many individuals remained stuck in familiar narratives despite years of therapy. She also recognized that while personal psychological assessments have profound transformative potential, they are often inaccessible, with months or even years-long waitlists for individuals who do not meet the urgency criteria required for publicly available assessments.

Vault Therapy was repositioned to bridge this gap in services, offering The Vault Method—a structured, evidence-based psychological assessment system that provides individuals with deep self-insight, an understanding of their limiting beliefs, and a clear, structured plan for personal growth. By making comprehensive, high-quality psychological assessments more accessible, Vault Therapy helps individuals move beyond past patterns, reshape their core beliefs, and implement an evidence-based toolkit for transformation.

“Your mind will take the shape of what you frequently hold in thought, for the human spirit is coloured by such impressions.”
